De sa formation à Rome dans les ateliers de maîtres où les bijoux extravagants des défilés de mode rivalisaient avec ceux créés pour les actrices les plus célèbres d’Italie, Claudia Capitanucci a hérité l’amour du brassage des cultures.
Sa maîtrise de techniques artistiques anciennes et exigeantes comme l’émaillage ou le filigrane – toujours à partir d’un dessin à l’aquarelle – s’enrichit au fur et à mesure de voyages et de rencontres peu communes. Jusqu’à s’installer à Nantes… et s’adapter aux goûts des Français !
Ouverte à la créativité et aux nouvelles possibilités offertes notamment par la 3D, Claudia prend conscience très rapidement de l’importance de la transmission de son savoir-faire et n’hésite pas à mobiliser ses connaissances pour enseigner, mais aussi proposer au plus grand nombre des expositions sur l’évolution du bijou à travers les différentes époques. A l’image de ses créations, intemporelles, exceptionnelles, elle constitue un maillon essentiel dans la chaîne des arts et des savoirs.
